As I take my first load of sand from the depths, up the escape hatch, I know one thing.
This is MY pyramid. The RED team, thier non-specific counterance, the Builders, Levelers, and Uncoverers (BLU) Team, and anyone one else who comes by, will not get in. When I get back to base, I'm going to turn off the beacon to the fleet, and run a special, ancient code, through the last broadcast.
They won't know what I've done, and they'll likely send recovery teams out once again, to try and recover the pyramid's treasures. Which is fine. I'll have turrets set up to make sure no one gets anything; This cacti in one of the chests should prove resiliant enough to stop people from getting in, as well. And if those don't, I have a replacement bucket, that I can fill with lava, and make a moat to prevent any further attempts to stop people.
I shall mete out the final judgements for any who arive on this planet unbidden. Like the terran jackal-god, Anubis, I shall judge the deeds of the people ariving, and against the feather of the fallen, they shall be deemed wanting, and be executed.
I am no longer just DragonlordJoe, a lucario of the Rucario Erection and Demolotion team. I am now the Anubian Lucario, and Death is my business.
And business, she will be improving quite soon.

Pyramid, Part 2
21? -
Spent day farming logs; need to make a lot of coal for torches, and carry more blocks on next trip in, because I will not brush death so closely again, like I did in the gold room.
I do feel strange, though, looking at the pyramid... like, there's something not quite right. Could this place, like the terran ones of the past, be cursed? With the traps, I do think that is possible... Will need to be more cautious on the next floor, as it looks to be cleared out on this floor. Also, I should change the log numbering to be trips in and out, because I won't likely see the sun much while exploring within.
Pyramid Explore 2 -
Found another side passage I missed, and a strangely, seemingly untrapped, room... then I looked up, and saw the sand suspended above me, waiting for the chest to be accessed. I got a lot of sandstone from clearing up all that sand.
Found some more Lapis from that, and some other chests, plus I've found some empty chests as I clear through passages I hadn't been in.
Full inventory sent me home a little earlier than I wanted, plus right after I recovered that trapped block of gold, a storm broke out; could hear the thunder from within the pyramid. So, was a good time to stop anyway... Little more exploration and I'll have the first floor clear of excess floor-sand, and any other possibly hidden treasures.
*crack of thunder, explosion from lightning strike nearby* Frag, I think I pissed something off.
*Yells, partly off recorder* Lord Zapdos, please curb thy wrath!
Interum between Explores (2) --
Set some sand to melt, juggled the inventory, made a handful of torches, and am on my way back in.
Pyramid 3 -
Went down to the second floor, and did my usual of picking up the floor sand to make sandstone; after having found the room with the sand ceiling, and all the floor-falls, I've learned I need portable hole fills. First room I find, has a small sand trench over the door, and some gold inside; sealed the trench up, and recovered the first gold block... behind the second was a chest, and some electical lines, likely linked to the trech I sealed. Continuing on, I have found that my perchance to dig the floor has managed to trip another trap, another fall. This time, though, with monsters in the pit. Thankfully, the skeletal forms down below don't manage to see me, so I can safely build a path along the walls to get the treasues. Though, the slowing sand at the door confused me; was able to recover only one of the three units of it, the other fell to the monsters below.
Sneaky treasure-hiders! As I was leaving the monster-floored pit room, I saw a treasure chest near the doorway, below the height of the old floor. A little bit of work, and the lapis within is mine.
Next room, a bunch of pillars of sandstone, over a lake of lava! Apparently, it was intended for a jumping puzzle, perhaps? No matter, sandstone to the rescue, and bridges to cover the gaps, and to get the chests at the far end. So far, so good... if a pool of lava to cross is the best these builders had, I've got no problems before me.
Though, I have to wonder... what power, these pyramid builders had, to be able to use core-stone for their pyramid.
Found a sand-covered doorway; once I started to remove the sand, I heard a click. I took off, back into the lava room, when the explosions echoed. Frig, bomb doors... what's next, hallways of lava? Turrets with bombs? Anyway, I discovered a sandbomb in the room after, and chuckled as it fell into the hole at the doorway where the explosives must have been... They're only slightly less scary when they can't really get to you. I sealed him in for my own good, and then explored the room, finding a chest under a chunk of sstone.
Oddly, the next room I found was a few sand deep, so after clearing out the first two layers at the door, I felt it might be safer to me to place blocks on top of the sand, in case it fell out below me or something... which is good, because after I cleared out the sand over the chest at the back of the room, the sand did fall out below me... makes me glad I had built the path.
I'm so glad I actively poke at the floor; just had a room, floor first and then ceiling of part of it, colapse ahead of me, dumping some spiders with it... gods, I hate these bloody things.
I also should quit making jokes about traps... found a turret, that was wired with a bomb in the room. At least I was nowhere near the room when the bomb blew. And I was close about the hall of lava... a hall with a slit at the bottom, and spiders trying to come out of the woodwork.
Interumn 3 -
Ran out of room and torches, had to head back to base. On my return, I noticed that my fur didn't brighten as much as it should have, as I walked through the well-lit passages to my little home. My reflection in the small water trench I erected for bread-making confirmed that my normally bright blue fur has darkened. Is it the ink the people who built this used on the core-blocks, to cover them in symbols? Is it some sort of curse from me collecting the resources left behind in the pyramid? I just hope it is reversable.
Pyramid 4 -
Missed a couple side passages, so I went back and explored them... saw one of those famed "spawner boxes" I've heard about, that usually lie deep in secluded chambers within the earth on a number of worlds... Except it looks like a problem with the way the builders setup the room, because the floor all around it was unstable, and a small poke collapsed it, and rendered the mummies it spawned to be useless.
Other side room had a block of lapis, surrounded by slowing sand. I don't know what the trap plate under it was set to activate, but deft hands, and a talented pick, and it was no longer a problem. Interestingly, I found a hunk of nether-stone in one of the boxes.
Back on the trail deeper, I found a side passage; another lake of lava... though, a company of skeletal archers' bolts met me at the door, and nearly killed me... if not for the armor and food I had, this would have ended poorly. A little more exploration away from that room, led me to another turret-bomb. The builders must have liked this trap.
Found a room with a short hole in it; doesn't look to have a pressure plate trap at the bottom of it, but also is missing a way back up other than filling the hole with blocks. End of the hall had another pit trap tripped by treasure chests, or by explorers expecting it this time. Interestingly, there was a chest that had to be dismantled to recover its contents, another of the shiny lapis peices.
Ok, Time to check out this evil little drop, and hope... hope that it isn't full of all these moans, arachnids, and other evil sounds I've been hearing and not seeing.
So far, so good, with the hole. Found a compass, a portable planitary clock, and some other nice items. Time to explore behind the wall next to the drop...

Death Count - 1
...
By Arceus, I don't like the jarring sensation of the emergency recovery device. Apparently, behind one wall was some explosives... and under the floor too. I just hope the lapis, diamonds, iron, and gold I had recovered survived my launch. I also have noticed, be it due to the recovery, the explosion, or my worries about a curse, that my fur is now soot-black, and my spikes are golden... maybe my gold didn't quite survive as I hoped.
...
A couple blocks of solid gold, a couple diamonds, the compass, clock... A block of lapis, plus a dozen more... a couple stone scepters... all gone. A handful of torches, plus whatever I had stored at base, is all I have... but I think this is the final run... you wouldn't fill a hall full of explosives just because it was a dead-end, right?
I found it! A room, who's walls are gold. This must be the treasure. The ceiling looks to be sand, though, so there might still be one final move left in this pyramid.
Within this chamber, is weapons, armor, and tools of diamond! The walls, solid gold, and a single pillar of solid diamond, seemingly holding the sand above from coating the floor.
HA! I was right again! By the golden band of Arceus, I was right! the ceiling was a trap... And I didn't know it, but there was a trap at the piller too. Need to see about getting back out... looks like there was an escape hatch on one side.

Pyramid, part 1
Day 1 -
The evil laughter from the tech sending me to the planet chilled me, as I dematerialized from Dispatch...
Ok, let me take a step back. I am DragonlordJoe, of the Rucario Erection & Deconstruction Team (Or the RED Team for short). We build and take apart things, all over existance. I've been sent out on other explorations before. Planet 404, and the baffling fall of gravel and sand near that landing spot, and the deep caves below, cost the team a while in looking. So they heard about this abandoned planet, full of deserts, on which a treasure was lain deep with a pyramid from explorers long ago. Figuring to recoup their losses, they sent me in.
I materialized on the ground, next to a small patch of grass, in this gods-forsaken desert. A chest with some goods, and a sign welcomed me. I rifled through the chest... simple wooden tools, some everburning flares, a little phosporic carbon to make more flares, or to fuel a burn engine, and some other small supplies. The sign welcomed me to the planet, and informed me that the usual resource transport system has been deactivated for me. Lovely, the Trans-Material Interface modual (aka the TMI mod) was, as the sign said, denied this exploration.
I had to build myself a structure, and survive for a while to get resources flowing with what I was given. Time to get digging.
Night 1 -
Built the shelter, mostly out of sand I gathered from around the drop spot. Roof of compact sandstone, and mounted some flares on my walls to provide light within; have a small grain farm growing from the seeds and water in the supply box i raided and recovered; once the first crop comes in, then i'll level it down with the rest of the dirt i've slowly had to lower; one sapling and a low roof don't play well, so I'll have to go deeper, or higher... or both, to get wood coming in.
Day 2 -
Came out of the shelter just before dawn, and found some shambling, mummy-like monstrosity near my "doorway" out. A couple blows with the stone mace-scepter-thing from the supplys, and he fell; further off were a couple skeletons with the Terran egyptian-style headdresses upon them... I think... couldn't tell for certian, dawn broke, and they burst into flames, and left me a couple bones I turned into bonemeal; finally, a fast-grow for that sappling I was given.
Another interesting discovery, was this indestructable stone, marked with runes, barely under the sands near the small patch of grass I started at... except for the markings, it reminded me of the core-protection on other worlds.
Night 2 -
Figure night-time is the best time to make these logs, as the fact that hostile creatures roam the deserts is impressed upon me. *spider hisses on recording* Especially with those bloody things around now. Dozens of worlds, and that hiss, it inflicts terror into me every time.
When day breaks, and the walking dead are ignited by the light of the dawn, I have arachnids to slay. Thank Arceus for a bowcaster in the supplies, though the limited rounds worry me.
*Arrow launch* Frag, too close to the doorway, I guess those skeletons have bowcasters too; least they're a poor shot.
Day 3 -
Thank Arceus again, this time that I decided to not build this structure to code. Engineers be damned, but leaving edges all over the place means the damned freaky spiders can't easily get to you while you have room to spare to swing that mace. Got a couple strands of silky thread from the spiders, and found a couple bowcaster bolts off to the side, as well as another couple hunks of bone to turn into meal; this confirms the skeletons have bowcasters, which means i can slowly leech off their fallen remains for more ammunition if I have to. Spend day reinforcing the walls, from sand to sandstone; will get trees worked on in the morning.
Night 3 -
Night is definitely a good basis for log-making, as I can't do a lot outside. The tacvest and pants in the supplys won't last forever, so I hope to coax this grass out to get some indigious non-hostiles for food and maybe some leather for armor, or wool for decorum.
Day 4 -
Well, I was greeted from around the corner of my structure, by a very hostile indigious creature... based on look and reaction to me, it seems to be a desert creeper. I didn't let it get close enough to even try and explode, but it took almost half my bolts to slay. It did give up a couple units of explosives powder. Another couple units of powder, and a helping of the bountiful sand, and I'll have some explosives.
Spent the day farming trees; Started with a dozen units of bone powder, and a single sapling; I have 5 saplings set to grow naturally now, plus another 8 spare in storage, plus the remaining 7 bonemeal; will need to raise more trees though, tomorrow, so I can stockpile wood for flares and tools.
Night 4 -
Fools, the lot of them! I was sent down with neither a craft bench, nor the wood to make one, but I have one now, and a forge they happened to give me enough stone for. Am currently blackening my stock of uncut logs for torch material *spider hiss in background* while I sit in my reinforced bunker. If one of the bigwigs showed up, they'd be pissed at me for not following code, but rarely does code and reality go together, in the field... especially when one is short on resources. In the morning will be spider slaying, tree harvesting, and hopefully more bolts will be left by the sun-burned remains of skeletons. And maybe, by week's end, I'll have supplies and a covered walkpath to the pyramid, so I can come and go in peice... and then the harvesting will commense, and I'll get paid and can leave.
Day 5 -
Killed a couple more of the walking explosives of the desert, only to find another 3 or 4 out of sight; they destroyed all chances of me growing grass for non-hostiles, as well as a portion of my walls and the desert at my doorstep. They also, unintetionally, revealed that my structure seems to be on the edge of some room enforced with the glyphed core-stone, or a large, square, node of it. I recovered from it, and rebuilt my walls, instead of making more wood. Damn those walking bombs.
Night 5 -
I hear more spiders outside... I have one bolt i recovered over the day, and I hear the soft moans of those mummy creatures again. Can't tell if more of them damned sandbombs are out, they don't make any sounds until they are about to blow, making it hard to tell if they're about.
Day & Night 6 -
Started combining entrys, as I usually only do them in the night, when it is no longer safe to be about. Retooled my house after killing off the spiders and the bombs, so i have my door i built sitting between two killholes. The only thing I have to worry about, is the skeletons shooting me, and they don't often come close to my house. Also, decided I should probably put torches on the outside, as the things that go bump in the night, don't like light... go figure.
On the "Getting into the Pyramid" front, I have the basis for the forward base laid out; gonna be a lot of glass, but hey, i'm in an area full of glass-to-be.
D&N 7 -
{Achievement Fail - Obey My Command! -- Player used TMI to provide resources to repair ninja creeper explosions.}
{Achievement Get (kinda) - And boom goes the dynamite -- collected enough gunpowder/sulpher to make the TNT, but have refrained from making any}
More digging, more plotting, still no covered walkpath yet. Took down extra dirt with trees, and in the morning will leave it to one tree, likely in the way-station between the landing pad and the pyramid; will keep extra dirt and saplings for when more wood is needed. Made more torches, have almost two full stacks now, hope to be enough to cover the walk-path and my progress within.
D&N 8 -
{Achievement Get - lolwut? -- Screenshot of rain provided}
Rain. Just what I needed. Thank Arceus there was no cover for nasty things to come from in the darkened haze of rain. Returned to digging up more sand, to convert to glass and sandstone, for the damned covered walkway. Thunder and lightning began to happen as night fell, and as I ran into my humble shelter. Sadly, the rainfall will prevent the undead from burning in the morning.
9 -
Rain let up with the rising of the sun, so the undead died at dawn. Discovered that I need more sand... heh, more sand, as I stand in the middle of a fragging desert. So, night happens, I jot some notes in this log, and i go to making glass and sandstone out of what I collected; I'm gonnna need more wood, for fuel.
10 -
Spent day raising and lowering trees, made some charcoal from it, and did more work on my walkway; couple more days, and I aught to have enough sand cleared and built upon so i can come to and fro without worry. Thankfully, I've had the luck of someone, hopefully the ops team, bombarding the planet daytime to slay all the hostile shit with a nasty poison. Due to the inherent properties of being a lucario, I have a natural resistance to the bombarded poison. Should be able to safely run science team members down here once I've finished the enclosure.
11 -
Nearly done with the wayspot, with its short tree of doom. Had to make my wall trench 2 tiles wide around my structures, may need to further extend it, based on my supply of glass and sandstone. Am thankful for the poisons, but when I seal my tunnel to the pyramid, they'll stop bombarding, because that will mean that I've cleared the surface for a landing team. But, I wonder what is really in the pyramid, especially with the door covered in sand... should put ladders on my supplys for when I go in to explore before I turn it over to the eggheads.
12 -
Opened up the mouth of the pyramid, saw some electro-lights on the walls inside, and put a couple of my light flares at the doorway, before I resumed trying to build the last leg of the sealing... will likely make it out of sandstone, with a nice glass band at the enterance; no need for access ladders on that end, my end has them. *sounds of rain falling again* By the crimson tendrals of Giratina, just what I need... I've learned the poison they bombard the planet with, is modified solar radiation, which is why it doesn't work when the sun goes down... won't be able to build anything if it is pouring come dawn.
13 -
Dawn comes, and the rain falls. No work gonna get done today if it doesn't go away.
Rain, Rain, go away... Wish my team had someone who knew Sunny Day...
Rain let up after most of the day had been wasted, so I didn't get much done... retreated back to my little cave, like some mythical Trainer had returned me from combat... by Arceus, I want this job to get done, but not as long as I don't have bonbardment available to me, or a sealed passage, is that possible.
14 -
Work, work. Had to replace my start pick with a new one, and it took me 2 of the 3 treefalls I did to realize I had a replacement pick I made myself when I made a spare axe. Oh well, more logs to char.
15 -
Made some of the passage tunnels more glass and less sandstone; I swear, though, that I'm gonna end up making a huge mess out of this desert thanks to the TMI Mod being disabled for me this mission.
*Zombie sounds* Great, the mummys are back... At least they burn well... I fear, though, if more lie within the pyramid, because of the inability of the radiation to get in, especially once I've fitted the entry with the seal connections.
16 -
More rain right after they got the radiation thrown down; there's enough that I got some digging done, but I saw shapes on the horizon that told me that the poisons weren't enough to keep it all down... Get to call it an early night, so lots of time for glass making, I suppose.
17 -
Almost done with the connections... My one-week plan should, barring rain, be done by the end of the third week. Need more logs for more charcoal, for more torches. Hopefully, I'll be fine with 2, 3 stacks of them plus some food and my tools... the shovel I've been using is ratty, and will likely break before I'm done... I am glad I put off using it for a good while after the wood one broke, but I'll likely need another before I'm done.
18 -
Had plenty enough to make the glass I needed, with glass and coal to spare. Sent the message to the ops boys in the sky that it was done, so they stopped the radiations with the fall of night tonight. Which, of course, means that the rest of the sandstone I need for the floor will have to content with *spider hiss in background* *grumble* With spiders and sandbombs.
19-20? - Laips Count at end of Day(s): 3
First excursion into the pyramid. Found a chunk of the sand on the floor missing, like a sandbomb blew up or something... possible guardian trap detonation? Anyway, my first exploration led me to a near death fall near a gold block on the first floor; quick thinking kept the lava from sweeping the floor, though it took a lot of work to get enough sand from the floor and the edge to make it back up alive. Found a death pit, and accidently tripped a second lava fall; some sandstone making from the available sand, plus relocating chests for walking on, got me 3 peices of lapis, plus a few arrows, a gold apple, a golden helm as well as a diamond one, plus a few gold bars. Returned home at night, will meditate on what i've done, before I try to go about farming wood for more torches.
D&N 7 -
{Achievement Fail - Obey My Command! -- Player used TMI to provide resources to repair ninja creeper explosions.}
{Achievement Get (kinda) - And boom goes the dynamite -- collected enough gunpowder/sulpher to make the TNT, but have refrained from making any}
More digging, more plotting, still no covered walkpath yet.
D&N 8 -
{Achievement Get - lolwut? -- Screenshot of rain provided}
